It supports high-resolution audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD, plus the object-based audio formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. It also supports HDR10, and a future firmware update is planned to provide Dolby Vision support.

The UBP-X700M features two HDMI outputs and a digital coaxial output for versatile connectivity options; one HDMI output exclusively transmits audio for connection to a non-ARC-compatible sound system, or to separate your audio and video feeds. This Blu-ray player has Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port built-in to allow you to stream multimedia content from your home network. The USB port also provides for the playback of your digitally stored media. An HDMI cable is included for instant connectivity.
