The Adams Rite 8400LR37036-US32D is an exit device: the horizontal bar that guarantees anyone inside can always get out, whatever the access control on the outside is doing. Electric latch retraction lets the system hold the door on free access during opening hours and release it again at night. It is life-safety hardware first and security hardware second.
