Do I need to replace my cameras?
No. Silarius Cloud is ONVIF-based, so you can use your own existing cameras, any model. Existing IP cameras connect through the Silarius Gateway. New Silarius X cameras connect straight to the cloud with no gateway at all.
How long can video be kept?
Retention is set per camera, from a few days up to a year on standard plans, and custom plans keep video for up to 3 years.
What video quality is recorded?
Plans come in three recording-quality tiers, Mobile (720p, up to 400 kbit/s), Pro (1080p, up to 750 kbit/s) and 4K (up to 1,600 kbit/s), so you only pay for the quality each camera needs.
How much does Silarius Cloud cost?
Cloud storage starts from $6.99 per camera per month (720p, up to 400 kbit/s). Your price depends on the recording quality, kbit/s and retention you choose for each camera. Every plan and price is on the pricing page, where you can build your exact price and check out online.
Do I need to open ports or change my firewall?
No. Cameras and gateways connect out to the cloud over an encrypted tunnel, so there is no port forwarding and no inbound firewall rule.
What does Silarius Live Monitoring cost?
Per camera per month: Standard monitoring, for any camera system including NVRs and DVRs of any brand, is $69.99 for nights (12 hours, every night) and $109.99 for 24/7. AI-verified monitoring, for cameras on Silarius Cloud, is $79.99 for nights, $89.99 for nights and weekends and $119.99 for 24/7. Setup is $99 per site, one time, and there is no contract.
Does live monitoring work with my existing cameras?
Yes. Live monitoring works with any camera system, Silarius or any other brand: IP cameras, NVRs and DVRs. You do not need Silarius Cloud for Standard monitoring. AI-verified (NextGen) monitoring adds Silarius Cloud AI, so those cameras connect to Silarius Cloud: Silarius X directly, or your own IP cameras through the Gateway.
What happens when an operator sees someone on my cameras?
They follow the instructions we set up with you: a live warning through your camera or horn speaker first, then a call to the police with a description of what they see, then calls to the people on your list. Every event is saved with the clips in an incident report.
How do I pay for Silarius Cloud and monitoring, and can I cancel?
Both are billed per camera, every month. Silarius Cloud plans can also be paid yearly to save 10%. There is no long-term contract: cancel with 1 month notice. Hardware is a one-time purchase that you own, with free shipping on orders over $200.
