The DSP-KIT is a Dolby Digital microprocessor chip that adds surround-sound decoding to Just Add Power 718KVM and 749KVM transmitters. Without it, those units pass stereo only — so on a job where the source is a Blu-ray player or set-top box carrying a Dolby bitstream, this small part is what stops the system quietly downmixing everything to two channels.
