What do I need to start?
Any working camera system with internet at the site: an NVR or DVR of any brand, IP cameras, or cameras on Silarius Cloud. During setup we connect the monitoring center to your system. AI-verified monitoring runs on Silarius Cloud (Silarius X cameras, or your IP cameras through the Silarius Gateway). For talk-down you need a camera with a speaker or an IP speaker on site.
What is the difference between AI-verified and Standard?
Standard monitoring works with any camera system, NVR or DVR included, and uses the motion alerts your cameras or recorder already make; it suits indoor spaces and quiet sites. AI-verified monitoring runs on Silarius Cloud: cloud AI checks every alert and only passes real people and vehicles to the operator, with rules per zone and schedule. Outdoors, AI-verified is the better choice because wind, animals, headlights and rain trigger plain motion detection.
Which hours are monitored?
Nights is a 12-hour window every night that you choose, for example 7 pm to 7 am. Nights + weekends adds all day Saturday and Sunday. 24/7 covers every hour. You can mix plans: 24/7 on the gate camera and nights on the rest.
What happens when the operator sees a real threat?
They follow the instructions we set up with you: usually a talk-down warning first, then a call to the police with a description of what they see, then calls to the people on your list. Everything is written into an incident report with the clips.
Do you keep recordings?
Your video keeps recording where it does today, on your NVR, DVR or in Silarius Cloud. Cameras on AI-verified monitoring also keep 24 hours of video in Silarius Cloud; add a Silarius Cloud plan to keep it longer, from days up to a year.
Is there a contract?
No. Monitoring is month to month, like Silarius Cloud: cancel with 1 month notice. The one-time setup fee of $99 per site covers your site instructions, call list and camera zones.
Can my existing cameras be monitored?
Yes, any brand. Standard monitoring connects to the NVR or DVR you already have. For AI-verified monitoring, your IP cameras, any model with ONVIF, connect to Silarius Cloud through the Silarius Gateway; check them with the compatibility checker.
Do I need Silarius Cloud?
No. Live monitoring is a separate service and works with any camera system, any brand, including NVRs and DVRs. Silarius Cloud is only needed for AI-verified (NextGen) monitoring, because the AI that checks every alert runs in Silarius Cloud.
Does it replace a burglar alarm?
It watches your cameras. It does not monitor door sensors or alarm panels. Many customers keep their alarm and add camera monitoring, so a person is stopped at the fence before they reach the door.
