Which cameras work with the Gateway?
Any camera or NVR that supports ONVIF or provides an RTSP stream, from any manufacturer. If you are not sure about a model, list it on your quote request and we will check it.
How many cameras can one Gateway handle?
Up to 50 devices per Gateway. Larger sites use more than one, and every Gateway reports into the same account.
Do I need to change my firewall?
No. The Gateway makes an encrypted outbound connection to Silarius Cloud, so there is no port forwarding and nothing on your network is exposed to the internet.
Do I need a Gateway for Silarius X cameras?
No. Silarius X cameras connect straight to the cloud on their own. The Gateway is for cameras you already own.
