Log in to a Silarius IP camera for the first time

Put your computer on the camera's network, find the camera, and log in to its web page.

Connect the camera
Connect the camera and your computer to the same local network with network cables and power everything on.
Match your computer's network
The camera's factory IP address is 192.168.1.168. Set your computer to an address on the same network, for example 192.168.1.165, and make sure it is not used by another device.
Or change the camera's address
Instead, you can use the IP Search tool (version 6.1.4.2 or later) to move the camera onto your computer's network.
Test the connection
Open a command prompt and type ping 192.168.1.168. Sent 4 / received 4 / 0% loss means the connection is good.
Open the camera's web page
Open the IP Search tool, click Search, and double-click the camera. Its login page opens in your browser.
Install the plug-in
The first time, click Download on the login page and install the plug-in, then refresh the page.
Log in
Enter the user name and password. The factory login is admin / admin. The guides strongly recommend changing it to something more secure.
Open the settings
Click Configuration to set local, system, network, video, image and event settings.
