Update your NVR firmware
Upgrade the NVR from a USB drive, from the internet, or from the web page.
Applies to: Silarius NVRs running the NVR 5.0 interface
- Copy the file to a USB drive
Put the upgrade file (named like xx_BD_V5_update_Vx.x.x.x.bin) on a USB drive and plug it into the NVR.
- Open Manual Upgrade
Right-click on the live view, open Maintenance and go to Upgrade → Manual Upgrade.
- Start the upgrade
Click Refresh, choose the upgrade file, then click Upgrade → Confirm.
- Wait for the restart
Do not turn off the power or unplug the USB drive. The NVR restarts by itself when done (about 1-6 minutes).
- Restore defaults afterwards
The manual recommends restoring factory settings after an upgrade (Maintenance → Default).
- Or upgrade online
With the NVR on the internet, go to Maintenance → Online Upgrade, click Check, then Update if a new version is found. Or tick Auto Update, set a time and click Apply.
- Or upgrade from a browser
Log in to the NVR web page, go to Configuration → Maintain → Manual Upgrade, click Browse, pick the file and click Upgrade.
