Set up your NVR for the first time

Power on the NVR and follow the startup wizard to set the password, date and time, network, hard drive and cameras.

Applies to: Silarius NVRs and PoE NVRs running the NVR 5.0 interface

Connect and power on
Connect a monitor and a mouse, plug in the power cord and turn on the power switch on the back.
Pick a language
Select the system language and click Apply.
Log in
Select the user and enter the password. The factory login is admin / 12345.
Set a strong password
When asked, click Modify. Enter and confirm a new password, pick security questions and answers, and click Save. Insert a USB drive and click Export Key to keep a reset key.
Set date and time
On the Date and Time page, set the date and time and click Next.
Set the network
On the Network page, set the network settings and click Next. The factory IP address is 192.168.1.88; you can also turn on DHCP.
Format the hard drive
On the Hard Disk page: if it says In Use, click Next. If it says not mounted, select the drive and click Format → Confirm; the NVR restarts.
Add cameras
On the Camera page, search for and add your cameras, then click Next.
Finish
On the Change Password page, check your password and security questions and click Complete.
