Reset a forgotten NVR password
Use your security questions, your exported key file, or a dynamic password from Silarius support to set a new NVR password.
Applies to: Silarius NVRs running the NVR 5.0 interface
- Click Forget Password
On the NVR login screen, click Forget Password.
- Pick a reset method
Choose Answer The Question, Import Key or Dynamic Password.
- Answer the security questions
For Answer The Question, answer at least 2 of your questions exactly as you set them, then click Next Step.
- Or import your key
For Import Key, insert the USB drive holding the key file you exported from this NVR and click Import.
- Or get a dynamic password
For Dynamic Password, note the serial number shown on the screen. Keep this screen open.
- Contact Silarius support
Send the serial number (or a photo of the screen) to Silarius support. They will send you a dynamic password.
- Enter the dynamic password
Type the code into the Dynamic Password box and click Next Step.
- Set the new password
On the Modify User screen, tick the change password box, enter and confirm the new password, and click Save.
