Edit, disable or delete a user
Change a user's email, password or roles, or turn their access off.
By the end you will be able to change a user's details, reset their password, turn them off for a while, or remove them for good.
What you need
- An owner or admin sign-in for Silarius Cloud Admin
Deleting a user can't be undone. If you might need them again, disable them instead.
Step by step
- Open the user
In Silarius Cloud Admin, click Users. Click the person's name.

- Change their email
On the User Info tab, type the new email and click Save. If their email is their username, they now sign in with the new email. If they set their own username, it stays the same.
- Change their password
Open the Security tab. Type a new password yourself (they won't get a message). Or click Reset password to make a random one and email it to them.
- Disable or enable them
On the Security tab, use the button under User status. A disabled person can't use Silarius Cloud Admin or the web app. You can turn them back on any time.
- Change their roles
Click the Roles line and click role names to add or remove them. All of a person's roles must be the same type. To switch type, remove all roles first.
- Make them the owner
To hand over the account, open an admin user and click Set as owner. The old owner becomes an admin.
- Delete them
Use the delete option to remove the person for good.
Good to know
- Only the owner can change the owner's own details.
- A custom username can only be set by the person themselves, in their own profile. See Your profile, password and username.
