See your cameras on a map
Find any camera by where it is, peek at its picture, and build a layout by drawing around an area.
By the end you will find cameras on the map, peek at them, and make a layout from all cameras in one area.
What you need
- You are signed in to the Silarius Cloud web app
Step by step
- Open the map
Click the Map icon in the top menu bar. A map shows where your cameras are.
- Zoom in
A green circle with a number means that many cameras are close together. Zoom in to see each one. A single camera shows as a camera icon.
- Peek at a camera
Rest your mouse on a camera icon. You see a picture from that camera. The picture updates every 15 minutes.
- Open or add the camera
Open the camera full screen. Or drag it from the map into any box of your current layout.
Other map tools
- Map theme: change how the map looks.
- Show all cameras: zoom back out to see every camera you have.
- Make a layout from an area: draw a line around an area. A layout opens with all cameras inside it.
Camera in the wrong place?
At first, every camera is placed at the account's home address. To move it, an owner or admin opens the camera in Silarius Cloud Admin, goes to the Location tab, and types the right address. The map in the web app then moves the camera.
