Play many cameras at the same moment
Sync cameras so they all show the exact same time, which makes it easy to follow what happened.
By the end you will make several cameras play the same moment together. This helps you follow a person or car from one camera to the next.
What you need
- You are signed in to the Silarius Cloud web app
- A layout with two or more cameras
Step by step
- Pick the main camera
Click the camera that all others should follow. A green border shows around it.
- Find the moment
On the main camera, go to the time you want. Use the timeline, thumbnails, calendar or jump buttons. Or drag an event from the Events menu into a box.
- Sync one camera
Move your mouse over another camera. Its toolbar shows. Click the Synchronize button. That camera jumps to the same moment.
- Or sync them all
Click Synchronize all in the bottom toolbar. Every camera on the screen jumps to the main camera's moment.
How many cameras can I sync?
There is no set limit. But syncing takes a lot of computer power. Too many cameras can make video slow or jumpy.
Most computers handle 2 to 4 cameras easily. A computer with a separate graphics card can often handle 6 or more. It also depends on each camera's picture size, your internet speed, your computer's processor and memory. Fast-forward playback needs even more power.
If playback gets jumpy, sync fewer cameras at a time.
