Fix common mobile app problems

I don't get push notifications

Push notifications are the alerts that pop up on your phone.

• Make sure the app is installed and you are signed in as the right user.
• An owner or admin should check the alert in Silarius Cloud Admin. The alert schedule must be set up. Your user must be added to the alert.
• Make sure alarms are not turned off for that camera, or for the whole account.
• Make sure object detection is set up, and that you are allowed to see the cameras.
• If nothing happens on the cameras, there is nothing to alert you about.

The app won't open or crashes right away

• Restart your phone.
• Delete the app and install it again.
• Clear the app's cache (its stored temporary files). Your phone's guide shows how.
• Make sure your phone has internet with good download speed.

My camera list is empty

• Your user role may not include any cameras. Ask your account owner or admin.
• Close the app and open it again.

Video won't play or loads slowly

• Close the app and open it again.
• Make sure your internet is fast enough.
• Close other apps to free up your phone's memory.

My Library is empty

• There may be no clips yet. Clips can only be made in the web app.
• If you see clips in the web app but not the app, sign out of the app and sign back in.

Nothing shows on the Layout tab

• There may be no layouts for your user yet. Layouts can only be made in the web app.
• If you see layouts in the web app but not the app, sign out of the app and sign back in.

PTZ controls don't work

• Make sure your user role allows PTZ.
• You can change the PTZ speed in the app's settings.
